Shattered Past, Hopeful Future
She watched them, the people
How they walked about and such
Hoping one of them would notice
It really wasn’t much
She wanted to be loved
To have someone to care for
Yet all of her isolated life
She’d yet to find an open door
Then he came to mind
His words stuck in her head
And leaving him for this life
Was her worst and sole regret
He said he understood her
That they were like family
And those words had effected her
More than the naked eye could see
Her life was pretty crummy
Filled with anger, pain, and doubt
And right now what she needed
Was someone to help he out
With a strong resolution
She got up from the bench
And set off to find out
How to get to where he went
This Wolverine, or Logan
As she’d often heard him called
His was the one voice
That stood above them all
If he’d do just like he said
And really take her in
She’d at least have a roof
And a warm bed to sleep in
It would be a dreastic change
To live among so many
But after spending life in Iso.
The rewards were very pleanty
As she flagged down a cab
And then took a seat inside
She thought of all the friends and family
She’d have right by her side
