Jean Grey was born in the state of Connecticut. She lived in a upper-middle-class home with her parents and her non-mutant sister. When she was young she witnessed the death of her friend in a car accident. This helped start manifest her mutant abilities. Unable to control her telekinesis, her parents took her to a friend, Charles Xavier, where he helped Jean control her powers.
Jean Grey is a very vibrant red-head high-school junior. She is very athletic and participates in many school sports such as soccer and track. She is very popular with the kids at Bayville and is the only one from the Xavier Institute considered "not weird". Because of Jean's popularity, she will be pulled in two directions: Hanging with the "in crowd" or training with her teammates at the institute. In X-Men: Evolution, Jean and Scott's relationship start out sibling-like. As the series progressed Jean and Scott eventually became romantically involved and have remained that way since.
Jean is your typical ideal person. She is beautiful, smart, kind, gets the good looking guy, and is almost perfect in anything she does. Which makes some people like Rogue jealous. Jean tries hard not to let her mutant life take control of her, and gives off that "miss perfect" because she wants other mutants to see that you can be normal even with special gifts. But nobody is perfect, and Jean has had her share of problems too.
Jean has the power of a Telekinetic/Telepathic. She is able to move objects with her mind by thinking about it. At first weight was a problem. She could only lift what she can lift with her arms. Now her powers have grown, and can lift things such as cars and helicopters. Her telepathic abilities are not as great as Professor X's but she can communicate telepathically, and can give mind bolts.
